    Pattern Overview

These knit toddler pants are worked in separate pieces and then seamed together. The legs are knit first, starting at the cuff and working upward, followed by simple shaping to create the body.

    The pattern primarily uses:

    Garter stitch (knit every row)
Stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row)
    Basic increases and decreases

This combination makes it a great project for beginners who want to build confidence while still creating something functional.

    How These Pants Fit

This pattern is written for toddler size 2T, with a relaxed, comfortable fit that allows room for movement and layering.

Because toddlers grow quickly, you can easily adjust the length of the legs by knitting a few extra rows before shaping. This makes the pattern flexible and great for customizing as needed.
