DIY Elephant Tail Hanger

Spread the love

This elephant hook was inspired by these cute, animal hooks featured on Martha Stewart. I changed things up a bit by using a wood plaque with beveled edges rather than a plain piece of Poplar. I can’t wait to hang this in my little guy’s nursery!
Supplies:
Wood plaque
Robe hook
Elephant template
Screwdriver
Acrylic paint (white, grey)
Paintbrush
Grey spray paint

[Give the wooden plaque a few coats of white paint. Let dry in between coats]
[Print and cut out the template. Center it on the plaque]
[Trace around the template]
[Paint the elephant on. You’ll need a few coats]
[Spray paint the hook and screws. Once dry, screw them on to the plaque]
