Yarn: Starlette Yarn in Burnt Orange, Vanna’s Choice in Black, Chocolate and in Kelly Green (#4 worsted weight yarn)
Needles: Size US 9 circular, 16 inch, Size US 9 Double Point, Crochet hook size H
Gauge: 17 stitches and 23 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitc

Cast on 68 (72) sts. Join together and insert a marker to indicate the beginning of the row.
Knit 3, Purl 1 in the round until piece measures 6 (6 1/2 inches) from the cast on edge.
Shape crown:
Round 1: *K2tog, K1, P1; repeat from * around.
51 (54) stitches remain.
Round 2: *K2tog, P1; repeat from * around.
34 (36) stitches remain.
Round 3: *K2tog, K1; repeat from * around.
23 (24) stitches remain.
Round 4: *K2tog; repeat from * around.
12 stitches remain.
Break yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread yarn through the remaining stitches and pull tightly to close the top.
Stem
Attach chocolate yarn to the center top of the hat.
Using double-pointed needles, pick up the remaining stem stitches and knit in the round until the stem measures 2 inches.
Break yarn, thread through remaining stitches, pull tightly, and secure.
To make the vines:
Using crochet hook H and the green yarn chain 30. Single crochet back over skipping every other chain. To make the 2nd vine- chain 20. Single crochet back over skipping every other chain. Wrap each vine around your finger to give it a twist. Tie onto hat.
To make the eyes & nose (make 3)
Cast on 8 sts with Size 9 single point needles.
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (7 sts)
Row 3: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (6 sts)
Row 4: Knit
Row 5: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (5 sts)
Row 6: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (4 sts)
Row 7: Knit
Row 8: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (3 sts)
Row 9: Knit 2 together at beginning of row (2 sts)
Row 10: Knit 2 together. Cut yarn and pull through loop.
Finishing: Sew the eyes and nose to the front of the hat. Topstitch on the mouth.
