    Needles: Size US 6 single point knitting needles
    Gauge: 22 sts x 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
    Also needed: button eyes and nose, yarn needle

    Kfb (Knit Front and Back):
    Knit into the front of the stitch as usual, but do not slip the stitch off the left needle. Knit into the back of the same stitch, then slip it off the needle. This increases 1 stitch.

    Row 1 (right side): K2tog, k56, k2tog. (58 sts)
    Row 2: Purl across.

    Repeat the last 2 rows 14 times. (30 sts)

    Work 8 rows in Stockinette Stitch.

    Increase
    Row 1: Kfb, k to the last st, kfb. (32 sts)

    Work next 3 rows in Stockinette Stitch

    Row 4: Kfb, k to the last st, kfb. (34 sts)

    Work 5 rows in Stockinette Stitch.

    Decrease

    Row 1: K2tog, k30, k2tog. (32 sts)
