Beginner Evergreen Hat Knitting Pattern
Beginner Evergreen Hat Knitting Pattern- a classic knit hat adorned with festive, colorwork evergreens.
Lately, I’m on a colorwork knitting spree! The latest pattern is this Evergreen Hat. It’s a simple two-color design that’s suitable for beginner knitters. This hat is knit in the round and the colorwork chart begins after the ribbed brim is knit.
A few tips for stranded (or colorwork) knitting:
Pay attention to the tension of the yarns. Many knitters (myself included) work more tightly when knitting colorwork than stockinette stitch. Also, it helps to keep the yarn colors separate. Hold the pattern color in your left hand and the background color in your right.
