DIY Rainbow Wrapped Earrings
DIY Rainbow Wrapped Earrings- a fun, colorful accessory that’s perfect for summer!
When I saw these plain (awesomely-priced!) hoop earrings on Amazon, I’d knew they’d be perfect for an upgrade. These DIY Rainbow Wrapped Earrings are fast and easy to make and you can customize them any way you’d like.
Supplies needed:
Embroidery floss in various colors
Gorilla glue (this is the best glue I’ve found for craft projects- hands down!)
Scissors
Start at the back of the earring. Double knot the embroidery floss.
Brush a small amount of glue on the hoop and begin wrapping.
Keep the thread taught and make sure each new wrap is touching the old- otherwise, there will be gaps.
To add a new color, brush glue on the hoop, press new strand on and wrap old color around a few times. Then, switch to the new color.
You can carry the strands along the hoop, wrapping them along. If you are finished using a color(like I was with the blue), cut the end of the floss and wrap it up. Brush a small amount of glue to the hoop as you work.
Once you get to the end of the earring, apply some glue and wrap the end around. Let dry and snip excess.
Wear & enjoy!
