Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Barley (1 skein) #6 super bulky yarn, 106 yards
Needles: Size US 10 1/2 single point knitting needles
Also needed: markers, yarn needle, pom pom maker
Gauge: approximately 11 stitches and 15 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch.

SSK- means “slip, slip, knit”. Slip 1 st, slip the next, then put left needle back into the slipped sts and knit them together. This will create a decrease leaning to the left.
M1- means “make 1 stitch”. The make-one is performed in between two stitches, with the bar between the stitches. Lift this up and knit a new stitch.

Cast on 60 sts.
Knit 3 rows in Garter Stitch.

Decrease:
