Supplies needed:
Dollar Store styrofoam pumpkins
Spackle
Acrylic paint and paintbrush
Directions:
I bought these styrofoam pumpkins from the Dollar Store because I knew they would be the perfect candidate for an upgrade!
Apply the spackle to the pumpkin. I found it was easiest to use my hands, but you can also use a putty knife. If the spackle is too thick, you can use wet your hands or tool with water and apply.
Allow the spackle to dry throughly between coats. I did one full coat. After it dried, I went back and touch up some areas when the spackle was thin.
Once the spackle is fully dry, paint the pumpkins using acrylic paint. Note: The spackle and acrylic paint and not waterproof, so it’s best to keep these pumpkins indoors.
These charming fall decorations are not only a testament to your crafting skills but also a reminder that with a little imagination and some budget-friendly supplies, you can transform ordinary items into extraordinary seasonal decor. Now that you’ve added a touch of rustic elegance to your home, get ready to enjoy the cozy vibes of autumn and bask in the compliments from friends and family. Happy crafting, and may your fall season be filled with warmth, creativity, and lots of pumpkin-spiced joy!
