You can’t have Halloween without ghosts! This friendly ghost is crocheted using worsted weight yarn. The eyes and mouth are made separately and sewn on.

Ghost Pillow Crochet Pattern

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Soft White, (#4 worsted weight yarn)
Crochet hook size: K
Also needed: fiber fill
Chain 31. Single crochet (SC) in second chain from the hook and the rest of the way down making 2 SC in the last 2 chains.
Start working on the other side of the chain. SC in each chain making 2 SC in the last 2 chains. Chain 1 (76 single crochets)
Round 2: SC in the first 35 chains, 2 SC in next 3, SC in next 35, 2 SC in last 3, chain 1 (82)
Round 3: SC in the first 37, 2 SC in next 4, SC in next 37, 2 SC in last 4, chain 1 (90)
Round 4: SC in each stitch around, chain 1 (90)
Round 5: Single crochet Decrease, SC in next 8, repeat around, chain 1 (80)
Round 7-10: SC in each stitch around, chain 1 (80)
Round 11-12: SC Decrease, SC in next 7, repeat around. (70)
Round 13-18: SC in each stitch around, chain 1 (70)
Round 19: SC Decrease, SC in next 6, repeat around, chain 1 (60)
Round 20-25: SC in each stitch around, chain 1 (60)
Round 26: SC Decrease, SC in next 5, repeat around, chain 1 (50)
Round 27-32: SC in each stitch around, chain 1 (50)
Round 33: SC Decrease, SC in next 4, repeat around. (40)
Round 34-37 SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (40)
Round 38: SC Decrease, SC in next 3, repeat around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 39-41: SC in each stitch around, join, chain 1 (30 SC)
Round 42: SC in each stitch around. Fasten off.
For the eyes: (make 2)
Chain 6. Single crochet (SC) in second chain from the hook and the rest of the way down making 2 SC in the last chain.
Start working on the other side of the chain. SC in each chain making 2 SC in the last chain. Chain 1 (12 single crochets)
Round 1: Single crochet in the first 6 chains, make 2 SC in the next chain, single crochet to the last stitch, make 2 SC in the last stitch chain 1
Round 2: Single crocheting each stitch, fasten off.
For the mouth:
Ch 4. Join with slip stitch (sl st) to first chain to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 2. 8 Half Double Crochet (hdc) in ring. Join with sl st to first hdc. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Sew the eyes and mouth on. Stuff the ghost with poly fill and sew the top seam closed.
