    Yarn: Lion Brand Mandala in Centaur (#3 yarn weight, DK weight yarn) 1 skein
    Needles: Size US 6 single point knitting needles
    Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows = 4″ in stockinette st.
    Sizes: 3 months, 6 months (in parenthesis)

    KFB- knit in the front and the back of a stitch. This increases 1 stitch.

    Pattern instructions:

    BACK
    Cast on 47 (53) sts.
    Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) until the piece measures 5 (6) inches from the cast-on edge.

    SHAPE SLEEVES
    Cast on 8 (9) sts at beg of next 6 rows. 95 (107) sts.
    Place marker at end of the last row.
    Continue in Garter stitch for 28 (32) more rows from marker, ending on a wrong side row.

    DIVIDE FOR FRONTS
    Next row: (right side). Knit 39 (44) sts. Slip these sts onto a stitch holder for the
    Right Front. Cast off next 17 (19) sts for back neck edge. Knit to the end of the row for Left Front.

    LEFT FRONT
    Continue knitting on 39 (44) sts as follows:
    Work 3 rows even in Garter stitch.
    Shape neck: Next row: (RS). K1. Kfb. Knit to the end of the row. **

    Work 3 rows in Garter stitch. Rep the last 4 rows 3 (4) times more, then increase at neck, as before, on every right side row 5 times more. 48 (54) sts.
    Work 1 row even in Garter stitch.

    SHAPE SLEEVE
    Cast off 8 (9) sts at beg of the next and the following wrong side rows twice more. 24 (27) sts.
    Work 2 rows even in Garter stitch, ending on a wrong side row and place a marker at end of the last row.
    Knit each row until the work from the marker measures the same length as the Back to last row. Bind off.**

    RIGHT FRONT
    (wrong side). Join yarn to 39 (44) sts on the holder.
    Work 3 rows even in Garter stitch.
    Shape neck: Next row: (right side). Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
    Work from ** to ** as given for Left Front.
    Work 2 rows even in Garter stitch.
    Shape sleeve: Cast off 8 (9) sts at beginning of the next and the following right side rows twice more. 24 (27) sts.
    Work 3 rows even in Garter stitch, ending on a wrong side row, and place marker at the end of the last row.
    Work from *** to *** as given for Left Front.

    FINISHING

    Sew the side and the sleeve seams.

    Neck Ties (make 2): Cast on 47 sts. Cast off. Sew 1 Tie to each corner of neck edge. Weave in ends.
