Homemade Essential Oil Dryer Sheets- Reusable & All-Natural
I recently started making my own dryer sheets and they’re even better than the store-bought ones! Homemade dryer sheets are free from harsh chemicals and strong, artificial fragrances. They’re also reusable, making them eco-friendly and frugal. Last but not least, you can customize the smell using any combination of essential oils.
These Homemade Essential Oil Dryer Sheets take minutes to make and they’re an easy way to make your laundry more “green”!
Supplies needed:
Jar with lid
White vinegar
Hand towel or wash cloths (or any other terry cloth fabric)

If you’re using a hand towel, cut it into 8 equal size pieces. If you’re using a washcloth, cut it into 2 equal size pieces. (I used 2 washcloths.)
Add 2 cups of white vinegar. Vinegar is a natural fabric softener. Don’t worry about the smell- it vanishes as the clothes dry.
Add about 30 drops of essential oil. I did 20 lavender and 10 orange. Other great essential oils to use in the laundry are lemon, eucalyptus, rosemary, and thyme.
Stir the mixture and dip the sheets in. Put the lid on and give it a few shakes to ensure that the sheets are saturated.
As you use the sheets the vinegar and essential oils will need to be replenished.
