There’s something about Spring that makes me so excited for big, family dinners and warm weather activities together. We may have a big Easter dinner planned, but that doesn’t mean that I want to spend hours making decorations and baking! I partnered with Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies to show you a couple of fast & easy (not to mention affordable!) ways to have major “wow” impact (with a little help from these Fabric Transfer Tea Towels DIY).
When it comes to Easter dinner (and holidays in general), I’d much rather be spending time with my family than baking a pie from scratch. Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies does all the work for you! The Coconut Cream pie has a flaky crust that’s made from scratch. It was sooo good- this pie didn’t even last 2 days in my house! Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies are homemade quality and made with real ingredients.
How else can you Sweeten your Spring? New DIY kitchen accessories! I wanted to make something that would brighten up the kitchen and add a little fun to Easter dinner. This fabric transfer tea towel DIY was the perfect solution! If you’ve never worked with fabric transfer paper before, it’s so simple! I chose this vintage- inspired bunny print. It’s festive, but it doesn’t scream “Easter”, so I won’t have to put this towel away when the holiday is over. Let’s get crafting!
Supplies Needed for Fabric Transfer Tea Towels DIY
Flour Sack Towels
Clip Art Bunny Picture (I resized mine to 6 inches tall)
Fabric Transfer Paper
Iron
Print out the image on the fabric transfer paper.
Cut it out
Iron out any creases in the towel. Place a pillowcase or cotton t-shirt down on the ironing board. Place the towel on top of that. Put the image face down on the towel and place the hot iron on top- no steam. (Read the directions carefully on the package of fabric transfer paper, because ironing times may differ slightly) Iron for a few minutes.
Once the paper has cooled, peel it back to reveal your bunny image!
Next time you’re in Walmart, be sure to swing by the frozen dessert aisle to find Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies. Save yourself the trouble of baking this Easter and pick up a pie in a delicious flavor like Banana Cream, Chocolate Satin or Lemon Meringue. Frozen pies don’t get any better than this!
I LOVE how this towel came out. I'm definitely going to have to try making some tea towels! [client]
What a great idea- it looks store-bought!
Eek! So cute!!!
I'm going to have to try this!
Is it washing machine safe?
Yes, but I would let it air dry instead of using the dryer.
