Yarn: Red Heart Grande in Aran (1 skein)
Needles: Size US 15 circular 16 inch, Size 15 single point
Also needed: Yarn needle, Faux fur pom pom

Pattern instructions:

With the circular needles, cast on 36 sts. Knit in the round until pieces measures approximately 7 inches from the cast on edge. Bind off on a right side row.

For the ears (make 2):

Using the single point needles, cast on 2 sts. Working in stockinette stitch, increase 1 stitch at each end until you have 6 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 4 rows. Decrease 1 stitch at each end until 4 sts remain. Bind off.

Finishing:

Run a length of yarn around the bottom of the piece and pull to tighten. Tie and weave in ends.

Sew on ears.

The pom pom has a small loop. Thread a piece of yarn through the loop to secure the pom pom to the back.
