How to assemble the pumpkin

If you knit the pumpkin using single-point needles, fold the piece over and sew the side seam.

Sew around the top of the pumpkin and stuff with poly fill. Pull tightly to close the opening and sew closed.

The final step is to create the stem. Pick up stitches and make a single crochet around the top of the pumpkin. Work for a few rounds until the stem is as long as you like. On the last row, single crochet in every other stitch to decrease. Break yarn and weave in ends.

Decorate your entryway console for a warm seasonal welcome.
Use them as shelf décor in your living room, bedroom, or home office.
Pair them with chunky knit blankets and pillows for the ultimate cozy fall look.
Display them from September through Thanksgiving for long-lasting seasonal décor.
