Christmas String Lights Crochet Pattern

Yarn: #4 worsted weight yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
Colors needed: dark green, green, yellow, orange, red, blue, violet
Crochet hook: Size 4.5 mm
Also needed: Fiber fill, yarn needle
Gauge: not necessary for this project
Size: Each bulb measures approximately 3 inches long, Garland measures approximately 8 feet long
Pattern instructions:
For the lightbulbs:
(Make 2 each in the following colors, green, light blue, red, orange, yellow)
Ch 2.
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. 6 sc.
Round 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join.
Round 3: Ch1. 1sc in first sc. 3sc in next sc. 1sc in each of the next 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Join. 10 sc.
Round 4: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 sc. 3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of the next 4sc. 3 sc in the next sc. 1 sc in each of the last 2sc. Join. 14 sc.
Round 5: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join.
Round 6: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 3 sc. 3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. 3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of last 3 sc. Join. 18 sc.
Rounds 7 to 9: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join.
Round 10: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Sc2tog. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sc. Sc2tog. Join. 12 sts.
Stuff lightly.
Round 11: Ch 1. (Sc2tog) 6 times. Join. 6 sts.
Fasten off.

For the Topper:
Join the dark green yarn with sl st to front loop of first st of 11th rnd.
Round 1: Ch 1. Working in front loops only, 1 sc in same sp as sl st. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to back loop of first sc.
Round 2: Working in back loops only, sl st in each of next 5 sc. Fasten off, leaving long tail. Using long tail, weave through tops of sts in last rnd and pull tight to close.
For the “Wire”:
With the dark green yarn, chain 350.
Sew the bulbs on approximately 6 inches apart.
