Hexagon Christmas Stocking Crochet Pattern

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver #4 worsted weight yarn in Off White, Mushroom, Hunter Green and Beige
Crochet hook: size U.S. H/8 (5 mm)
Gauge: not necessary for this project
Size: approximately 13 inches fro the top to the bottom

Pattern Instructions:

With the green yarn, ch 4. Join with sl st to first ch to form ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc at beg of this and subsequent rounds). 2 dc in ring. (Ch 2. 3 dc) 5 times in ring. Ch 2. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 6 groups of 3dc and 6ch- 2 spaces. Break green yarn.
Round 2: Join white yarn with sl st in first ch-2 sp. Ch 3. (2 dc. Ch 2. 3 dc) in same sp as last sl st. *Skip next 3 dc. (3dc. Ch2. 3dc) in next ch-2 sp. Rep from * 4 times more. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Break white yarn.

Round 3: Join beige yarn with sl st in first ch-2 sp. Ch 3. (2 dc. Ch 2. 3 dc) in same sp as last sl st. *Skip next 3 dc. 3 dc in sp between next 2 groups of 3-dc. Skip next 3dc.(3dc. Ch2. 3dc) in the next corner ch-2 sp. Rep from * 4 times more. Skip next 3dc. 3dc in space between next 2 groups of 3-dc. Skip last 3 dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Break beige yarn.
Round 4: Join the mushroom yarn with sl st in first ch-2 sp. Ch 3. (2 dc. Ch 2. 3 dc) in same sp as last sl st. *(Skip next 3dc. 3dc in sp between next 2 groups of 3-dc) twice. Skip next 3dc. (3dc. Ch2. 3dc) in next corner ch-2 sp. Rep from * 4 times more. (Skip next 3 dc. 3 dc in sp between next 2 groups of 3-dc) twice. Skip last 3 dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. Break mushroom yarn.

Round 5: Join the green yarn with sl st in first ch-2 sp. Ch 3. (2 dc. Ch 2. 3 dc) in same sp as last sl st. Stocking Top Edge:
Row 1: With RS of Stocking facing, join A with sl st in first marked corner ch-2 sp. Ch3. 2dc in same sp. (3dc in sp between next 2 groups of 3-dc) 11 times. 3 dc in second marked corner ch-2 sp. Turn.
Row 2:(WS). Ch3. (3dc in sp between next 2 groups of 3-dc) 12 times. Skip next 2 dc. 1 dc in top of ch 3. Turn.

Finishing:
Fold Stocking with sides, bottom and toe edges aligned. Using matching shade, join sides, bottom edge and toe seams.
