    Yarn: Red Heart Soft Yarn in Really Red, scraps of #4 worsted weight yarn in white and in green for the seeds and stem
    Needles: Size US 8 single point knitting needles
    Also needed: fiber fill, yarn needle
    Gauge: not necessary for this project

     How to do KFB (Knit Front and Back)

    1. Knit into the stitch as usual — but don’t slide it off the needle
    2. Bring your needle around to the back of that same stitch
    3. Knit into the back loop of the same stitch
    4. Now slide it off

    👉 You’ve turned 1 stitch into 2 stitches

    Pattern instructions:
    With Red yarn, cast on 6 sts.
    Row 1: Purl
    Row 2: (KFB, K1) repeat to the end of the row (9 sts.)
    Row 3: Purl
    Row 4: (KFB, K2) repeat to the end of the row (12 sts.)
    Row 5: Purl
    Row 6: (KFB, K3) repeat to the end of the row (15 sts.)
    Row 7: Purl
    Row 8: (KFB, K4) repeat to the end of the row (18 sts.)

    Row 10: (KFB, K2) repeat to the end of the row (24 sts.)
