DIY Outdoor Christmas Ornament Arch for Doors
DIY Outdoor Christmas Ornament Arch for Doors- make a statement this holiday season with this DIY Ornament Arch! This easy-to-follow tutorial can be customized to any door size.
Have the most festive front door on the block with this DIY Ornament Arch! This ornament arch is created by tying ball ornaments to screens made of chicken wire. You can add Christmas lights behind the wire (like I did) or leave it plain.

(As an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases)
1/2 inch PVC pipe (I used 37 feet)
1/2 Conduit straps
Chicken wire (this single roll was enough and I didn’t have to cut it width-wise)
Shatterproof ball ornaments (I used approximately 550)
Directions:
The arch consists of 3 pieces- the sides and the top. Measure from the bottom of your door to the top of the frame. Cut 2 PVC pipes to this length. Cut the chicken wire to this length as well. Lay the pipes on the floor and place the chicken wire over it. Attach the wire to the pipes using zip ties.
Starting at the bottom, attach the lights in a zig-zag pattern using zip ties. The excess feet lights will be at the top.
The next step is to start tying on the ornaments. I added approximately 90% of the ornaments indoors, leaving a few black spaces on the sides so I could easily attach the wire screen to the house. Once the screen is attached, fill in the black spots with ornaments.
Attach the screen to the house using the Conduit straps and screws. Keep the excess feet of lights free. I used 2 straps on each side- at the bottom and the top. Once the screen is attached, make a zig zag pattern across the top of the door and down the other side of the door, directly on the house. Secure with Command Christmas light hooks.
Repeat the steps to make the screen for the other side of the door. Since the lights are already attached to the house there is no need to add them to the other 2 wire screens you will be making.
The final step is to make the wire screen above the door. Since the space was small than the sides, I rolled the chicken wire around the PVC pipe and secured it rather than cutting it.
