Leftover Yarn Scarf Knitting Pattern

Spread the love

Leftover Yarn Scarf Knitting Pattern- a fun scrap-busting project that also makes a great gift!

Scrap Busting Scarf Knitting Pattern by Gina Michele

Anyone who knits knows that you end up with a lot of leftover yarn. I have my leftover yarn storage in 2 huge storage bins. I have so much yarn crammed in there that the lids are barely able to close, so I knew it was time to create more scrap-busting knitting patterns!

This Leftover Yarn Scarf Knitting Pattern is knit using a Basket Weave Stitch. If you’re a beginner knitter- don’t let this stitch intimidate you! If you can knit and purl, you can Basket Weave! The woven texture adds interest to an otherwise plain scarf, plus it’s fun to make.

I used leftoverLion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick for this pattern, but any super bulky yarn will work. You could also substitute bulky yarn and use size 11 single point needles instead.

Happy knitting!
