I love all things Fall, so I couldn’t resist making a pumpkin hat for my little guy! This hat is great for newbie knitters because it requires no decreasing. If you can knit a scarf you can make this hat!
Age- 6-9 months
Gauge 4 sts= 1 inch
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft (1 skein), Vanna’s Choice Chocolate, Vanna’s Choice Kelly Green
Needles: size US 7 knitting needles
Baby Pumpkin Hat Knitting Pattern

Cast on 60 stitches. Work in K2, P2 ribbing until piece measures 7 inches. Switch to brown color and knit another 1 1/2 inches. Bind off |

Fold in half and sew side seam |

Crochet an 8 inch long chain |

Tie tightly around the top of the hat and make a bow |

Is possible to run through live stitches and then sew the rest?
Hi! That should work as well
As one that hates to sew things together, I prefer to use four needles and knit in the round. Works just as well and just as easy to knit.
