Flat Knit Garter Stitch Hat Knitting Pattern- Super Easy!

This knitting pattern is as easy as they come! I promise, if you can knit a rectangle, you can make this baby/kids hat! This hat is knit flat in Garter Stitch, folded over and then the side and top seams are sewn closed. No circular needles, no increasing/decreasing- perfect for newbie knitters and experienced knitters looking to crank out a simple project in a few hours. I included multiple sizes for kids of all ages. I added some tassels on the top sides to make it even cuter =) I think pom poms would look adorable too. Happy knitting!

Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Hudson Bay
(for tassel) Vanna’s Choice in Denim Mist
Needles: Size 11 straight
Free Knitting Pattern
Sizes Toddler, Small child, Medium child, Large child
Cast on 18 (20 22, 24) sts. Knit each row until piece measures 16 (17,18,19) inches. Bind off.
Finishing:
Fold piece in half lengthwise. Sew side seam and top seam using a yarn needle. Weave in ends. Using the denim mist yarn make and attach tassels on either sides of the hat.
