diy double t shirt sun dress
I love coming up with new ways to repurpose mens t-shirts. This sun dress is made by sewing 2 shirts together. This is a great sewing project for beginners who want to make a dress but aren’t quite ready to start using patterns.
Supplies
- 2 mens t shirts (I dyed mine)
- Elastic (1/2″ wide and the length of your waist
Cut the 1st shirt off 7 inches below the armholes
Cut the 2nd shirt off right underneath the armholes- the hem at the bottom will be the hem of the dress |
Turn both pieces inside out and sew together in the middle to form the waistband. Sew the elastic to the inside of the waistband.
The neckline on my t-shirt was tight, so I cut it off, made the opening larger and sewed a 1 1/2 section of fabric on as trim
What a great idea!
good for a bathing suit cover-up
For some reason There are no photos for this project.
