Needles: Size U.S. 6 straight knitting needles
Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch
Sizes: 2/4, 6/8, 10/12 years old
Pattern instructions:
With Color 1, cast on 86 (94–102) sts.
Row 1 (RS). *K2. P2. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
Row 2: *P2. K2. Rep from * to last 2 sts. P2.
Rep last 2 rows of (K2. P2) ribbing until work from beg measures 5 1/2 (6– 6 1/2) inches, ending on a WS row. Break Color 1. With Color 2, cont in (K2. P2) ribbing until work from beg measures 8 1/2 (9– 9 1/2) inches ending on a WS row.
Shape The Crown:
Break Color 2 and switch to Color 3.
