Triple Knit Hat aka the Warmest Hat Ever!!!

Spread the love
Triple Knit Hat the Warmest Hat Ever free knitting pattern

As promised, here is the women’s version of the Triple Knit Hat knitting pattern. I can tell already that this is going to be my go-to hat this winter! As I mentioned in the baby/kids pattern there are a few things to remember when working with multiple strands of yarn at once:
1) Make sure you keep the 3 strands together at all times while knitting. Sometimes they want to split up when inserting the needle into the stitch. 2) Keep the 3 different skeins of yarn apart from each other while you are working. If you don’t they will knot together. I made this mistake and had a big mess to untangle!
Knitting with three strands at once takes some getting use to, but once you do this hat is a breeze to make. I definitely plan on making this in a few more colors for myself!
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Hudson Bay
Loops & Thread Cozy Wool in Moss Green
Lion Brand Cotton Bamboo in Cherry Blossom
Needles: Size US 15, 16 inches
Free Knitting Pattern:
*Note- work the 3 different strands of yarn at the same time.
With the circular needles, cast on 32 sts. Join ends together. Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 2 rows. Knit every row until the pieces measures 8 inches from the cast on edge.
Decrease rows: K1, K 2 together until you are left with 5 sts. Cut yarn, thread all 3 strands through remaining stitches, pull to tighten. Knot and weave in ends.
