The Benefits of Knitting Hats in the Round

Many knitters are initially intimidated by circular needles, but hats are one of the easiest projects for learning this technique.

Benefits include:

No Seaming

Once your knitting is complete, there are no seams to sew together.

Faster Knitting

You continue knitting around and around without turning your work.

Smooth Fabric

Working in the round creates an even stockinette fabric without alternating knit and purl rows.

Professional Finish

The finished hat looks polished and ready to wear immediately after blocking.

Weave Ends As You Go

This can save time when finishing the project.

Keep Tension Consistent

Try not to pull too tightly when switching colors.

Block Your Finished Hat
