Yarn: #4 worsted weight yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
Crochet hook: H/8 (5 mm)
Gauge: not necessary for this project
Size: Chain links measure 2 1/2 inches wide
Pattern instructions:
Chain 9 sts.
Row 1: Skip the first stitch and double crochet once into each chain until the end of the row. (8 sts)
Row 2: Double crochet once into each chain until the end of the row. Chain one.
Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 11 inches.
Bring the ends together and slip stitch through both layers, joining the ends into a ring.
Attach subsequent chains by looping through the last chain and crocheting the seam closed.
