A classic beanie is a winter must-have! I wear them with everything from active wear to jeans to dresses. Many beanies are topped with large fur pom poms which I love!

This Thick & Quick Beanie knitting pattern uses one of my favorite yarns from Lion Brand. The Thick & Quick yarn really lives up to it’s name! It knits up super-fast and it’s warm. It also comes in a ton of colors and the price is very affordable. What’s not to love???

This beanie is knit on circular needles and the basic ribbed design ensures a great fit. I topped it off with a fun faux fur pom pom.

Yarn: Lion Brand Thick & Quick in Cranberry (1 skein)

Needles: Size US 15 circular, 16 inch
Size US 15 Double point
Also needed: faux fur pom pom
Gauge: 2 inches= 4 sts in stockinette stitch
Thick & Quick Beanie Knitting Pattern
Cast on 48 sts. Join together and place a marker. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 6 1/2 inches.
Shape crown:
Round 1: K2, P2, K2 together, P2 across round- 42 sts.
Round 2: K2, P2, K1, P2 together across round- 36 sts.
Round 3: K2 together, P2, K1, P1 across round- 30 sts.
Round 4: K1, P2 together, K1, P1 across round- 24 sts.
Round 5: K1, K2 together- 16 sts.
Round 6: K2 together- 8 sts
Round 7: K2 together- 4 sts
Finishing:
Break yarn and pull through remaining sts. Pull to tighten. Weave in ends and attach pom pom.
