Super Easy Swirl Hat Knitting Pattern
My favorite knitting patterns are the ones that look difficult, but are actually really easy. This Easy Swirl Hat knitting pattern is one of those patterns! The hat is knit flat and some simple increases/decreases create the swirl shape. You can knit the entire hat on straight needles, or you can knit the brim using double pointed or circular (like I did).
I uses Caron Cupcakes for this project. They come in pretty color variations and the matching pom pom is included!

I've not done this, so it may turn out to be a dumb question, but just reading through, I sure don't see how you're going to get the "swirl'. Another question – what is the gauge please? I'd love to make this larger for my tiny DIL, my grand-daughter, and my grandson. Love the pics! GrammaJeannie
Hi! The increases and decreases make the piece have an angular shape. When you join the ends together it creates a swirl pattern. It may sound a little funny, but I promise it works!
The gauge is 1 inch= 4 sts.
