Anyone who reads this blog knows that I love knitting Indigo anything seasonal and holiday themed! These easy Pumpkin Baby & Toddler Booties are knit flat. They’re perfect for beginners and they knit up really fast!

For the pumpkin: Starlette in Burnt Orange
For the vine: Patons in Emerald
Needles: Size 6 straight
Also needed: Clover Pom Pom Maker, yarn needle

Cast on 31 (35 39) sts.

Row 2: K1, M1, Knit 14 (16,18) M1, K1, M1, Knit 14 (16,18) M1, K1 35 (39,43) sts
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: K1, M1, Knit 16 (18,20) M1, K1, M1, Knit 16 (18,20) M1, K1 39 (43,47) sts
Row 5: Knit

Shape the foot:
Row 1 (right side): Knit11. ssk. K6 (8,10). ssk. K1 K2tog. K6 (8,10). K2tog. K11 39 (43,47) sts.
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: Knit 11. ssk. K4 (6,8). ssk. K1 K2tog. K4 (6,8). K2tog. K11 35 (39,43) sts.

How to finish the booties
This is what the piece looks like when you are finished knitting.
Fold it over and stitch along the side and bottom.
Make a small pom pom. Take a piece of brown yarn and tie it in the middle of the pom pom.
With a crochet hook size G, chain 20. Weave in ends.
Knot the yarn several times to make the pumpkin stem and trim ends.
