Easy puff pastry Christmas tree made with chocolate and just a few ingredients. A quick, festive holiday dessert that’s perfect for parties and Christmas baking.
Preheat your oven according to the puff pastry package instructions. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread an even layer of vegan hazelnut spread over the sheet of pastry.
Place the other sheet of puff pastry on top of the first.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the stacked pastry into a Christmas tree shape (triangle top with a small rectangle at the bottom for the trunk).
Starting at the bottom, cut horizontal strips on each side of the tree, stopping before the center. Twist each strip gently to create branches.
Brush the tree tank with maple syrup for a golden finish.
Bake (according to the directions on the puff pastry) until puffed and golden brown.Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
