Also needed: rik rack, buttons, yarn needle, poly fill
Gauge: not necessary for this pattern
Size: Approximately 9 inches tall
Pattern instructions:
For the arms and legs (make 4)
Make a magic ring.
Round 1: single crochet 6.
Round 2: Single crochet twice in each stitch (12 sts)
Rounds 3- 7: single crochet
Fasten off.
For the body:
Join legs with a single crochet stitch in the center of the legs. Place a stitch marker. Single crochet in all the stitches around the legs (24 sts)
Round 2: single crochet around
Round 3: sc around
Round 4: sc 5, decrease, sc 10, dec, sc 5 (22 sts)
Round 5: sc around
Round 6: sc 4, dec, sc 10, dec, sc 4 (20 sts)
Round 7: sc around
Round 8: sc 4, dec, sc 8, dec, sc 4 (18 sts)
Round 9: sc around
Round 10: sc 4, dec, sc 7, dec, sc 3 (16 sts)
Round 11: sc 3, dec, sc 7, dec, sc 2 (14 sts)
Round 12: sc 3, dec, sc 5, sec, sc 2 (12 sts)
For the head:
Round 1: sc, increase across round (18 sts)
Round 2: sc 2, increase across round (24 sts)
Rounds 3-5: sc around
Round 6: sc 2, dec around (18 sts)
Round 7: sc around
(Begin stuffing the gingerbread man)
Round 8: sc, decrease around (12 sts)
Round 9: decrease 6 times
Finishing: Fasten off and weave in ends. Cut rib rack and sew it around the arms and legs. Sew on buttons for the body and the eyes. Stitch on a mouth.
