Yarn: Lion Brand Skein Tones in Cederwood (1 skein)
Needles: Size US 7 16 inch circular needles, size US 8 circular knitting needles
Gauge: 17sts and 23rows= 4 inches
Size: Men’s one size
Skill level: intermediate
Pattern instructions:
With the smaller needles, cast on 100 sts. Join in round and place a marker.
Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 4 1/2 inches.
Switch to the larger circular needles.
Next round: (K7. M1) 14 times. Knit to end of the round. 114 sts.
Proceed in Cable Pattern as follows:
1st round:*(P1. K1) 3 times. P1. K12. Rep from * around.
2nd and alt rounds: *(P1. K1) 3 times. P1. K12. Rep from * around.
3rd and 5th rounds: As 1st round.
7th round: *(P1. K1) 3 times. P1. C6B. C6F. Rep from * around.
8th round: *(P1. K1) 3 times. P1. K12. Rep from * around.
These 8 rounds form the Cable Pattern.
Continue working in pattern until work from beginning measures approximately 10 inches ending on 8th row of pattern.
