Easy Triangle Scarf Knitting Pattern- a simple way to knit up the season’s ideal accessory!

Easy Triangle Scarf Knitting Pattern

Last week I posted this Velvet Hat knitting pattern and as promised, here’s the scarf! This Bernat Velvet yarn is unlike any yarn I’ve used before. It feels like chenille and the beautiful jewel colors are perfect for the holidays!

This Easy Triangle Scarf Knitting Pattern is beginner friendly and a (relatively) fast knit. The shape is created by increasing stitches at the beginning of each row. I knit it on single point needles, but you could also use circular (just be sure not to join them).

Yarn: Bernat Velvet in Pagoda

Needles: Size 11 single point 14 inch needles (you can also use circular needles and not join them together)

Cast on 2 sts.

Working in stockinette stitch, increase 1 stitch at the beginning of each side until you have 30 sts.

Increase 2 stitches at the beginning of each side until you have 90 sts. Bind off on a wrong side row.

Finishing:

For the tassels (make 3)

Cut 15 strands of yarn that measure 10 inches long. Loop through the pointed end of the scarf and pull through to create a tassel. Trim ends to make sure they’re even. Repeat on the other 2 pointed ends.
