Turmeric has been all the rage in the health & wellness community...and with good reason! The main active ingredient in Turmeric is Curcumin. Curcumin has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and it is a very strong antioxidant. Turmeric has a distinct earthy-taste. When I first tried it I didn't like it (apparently many agree with me- "Turmeric tastes disgusting" is one of the top Google search results ?). This Vegan Turmeric Chai Latte is a delicious and easy way to introduce Turmeric into your diet.
When it comes to Turmeric, a little goes a long way! Too much can cause a recipe to taste very bitter, which makes me think the people who had a bad Turmeric experience probably added too much to their food.
This Vegan Turmeric Chai Latte has a mild, spiced flavor. Best of all, it's so easy to make!
Since no latte is complete without a little foam on top, I used this inexpensive milk frother . It's perfect for creating foam on lattes and hot chocolate!
