Flat Knit Booties Free Knitting PatternOver the past few years I've created several flat knit baby booties knitting patterns. Judging by the popularity of these patterns, it's clear I'm not the only one who doesn't like double point needles! I find baby booties so much easier/faster to knit on single point needles.
This latest pattern features a foldover cuff and ribbed toe. These booties are gender neutral and the pattern is beginner-friendly.
Happy knitting!

Sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months
Cast on 16 (20) sts. Work in Garter stitch for 4 (5) inches. Bind off 8 (10) sts at the start of the row.
Row 1: P
Row 2: P
Row 3: K
Row 4: K
Repeat these 4 rows until piece measures 9 (10) inches from the cast on edge. Bind off.
This is what the piece looks like when you are finished knitting:
Fold the sides over towards each other. The shorter piece makes the toes.
Sew the side seam and the bottom seam.
Run a stitch around the upper part of the toe.
Pull to gather and make a knot. Fold the top part of the bootie over.
