Free Christmas Knitting Patterns
If you’re anything like me, you already have the house (and outdoors!) decorated for Christmas. What can I say? I love this time of year! If you’re a knitter, you’re probably working double time right now making presents for family and friends.
These free Christmas knitting patterns are some of my favorites that I’ve created over the past few years. They’re relatively fast and easy to make- the Christmas Tree Hat, Santa Hats and Santa’s Belt Buckle Hat can all be completed in an evening.

Easy Candy Cane Swirl Hat Knitting Pattern– these hats are much easier than they look to knit! They’re knit flat and the swirl shape is created with increases/decreases. Beginner-friendly!
Christmas Stocking Knitting Pattern– Christmas isn’t complete without stockings! This stocking is knit flat, in 2 pieces so it’s perfect for beginners.
Christmas Tree Hat Knitting Pattern– This is one of my favorite Christmas patterns and it always gets a lot of compliments! It knits up fast thanks to the super bulky yarn and large needles.
Santa’s Belt Buckle Hat Knitting Pattern– This hat is a cute alternative to the traditional Santa Hat. The belt buckle is crocheted and attached afterwards.
Santa Hat Knitting Pattern– Classic Santa hats in sizes for the whole family! These are perfect for holiday pictures!
