The relaxing days of summer are coming to a close and Fall is about to kick off with back to school, sport leagues, and activities. Indigo and I spend most days outside of the house so on-the-go snacks are a must! When shopping for snacks I look for a convenient, healthy options with a few treats thrown in. Check out some of our favorites below!
Green Giant Veggie Tots
Most toddlers aren’t fans of vegetables and Indigo is no exception. These Veggie Tots from Green Giant are a great way to sneak veggies into a picky eater’s diet! I make extra so I can eat them too and serve them with Marinara sauce. They’re a delicious and healthier alternative to fries and potato tots!
These Veggie Tots cook up fast and they’re perfect for those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking!

Sensible Portion Garden Veggie Straws
We all know that potato chips aren’t the best snack choice, but sometimes you just want something crunchy! These Garden Veggie Sticks are a better-for-you snack! They contain less fat than potato chips, plus they’re free of GMO, artificial flavors and preservatives.

RXBAR protein bar
Finding healthy, pre-packaged snacks can be challenging, so I was excited to discover these “clean” protein bars in the Babbleboxx! The packaging says it all- what’s listed on the front are the only ingredients in each bar! I was really impressed by this because most protein bars I’ve seen have a huge list of weird, unpronounceable ingredients. Best of all is the taste! They’re delicious and naturally sweet and they don’t have that chalky, protein powder taste.
I started carrying these around in my purse. They’re a great pick-me-up!

PB Jamwich and Entenmann's Little Bites
These PB Jamwichs are great as an on-the-go snack. They’re crustless and the sandwiches are crimped around the edges to prevent spills which is a clever idea!
Little Bites convenient baked snacks that contain zero trans fat and no high fructose corn syrup. They come in 10 different flavors and they’re great for an occasional treat.
Fruit Shoot, Sour Punch Straws
Fruit Shoot, Sour Punch Straws and Ragin’ Reds
When I first saw these Fruit Shoots I assumed they were loaded with sugar. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had no added sugar and they were low in calories. They’re water with a splash of real fruit juice. These are perfect for kids who aren’t big water drinkers.
I don’t give Indigo candy, but I like to keep it around for in case any of my guests need a sugar fix! As far as candy goes, these healthier than most. They contain natural fruit flavors and no high fructose corn syrup.
