In the past I followed a healthy diet but I never gave much thought to the products I was putting on my face and body. After doing some research I decided to make the switch to organic/vegan/cruelty-free products whenever possible. Shopping for natural products can sometimes be time consuming. I’ve spent a lot of time standing in front of a row of makeup reading the backs of all the labels. Luckily, iHerb is here to solve that problem! iHerb is your one stop shopping destination for natural products at great prices! They have a huge selection of over 35,000 products and they carry everything from beauty to baby to grocery. (For my international friends- they also ship to over 160 countries!) iHerb is also Google trusted and their customer service team supports 10 languages.
I’m really excited to team up with iHerb today to share this Summer Glow Makeup Tutorial. All the products I used for this look are cruelty-free and natural.
First I’ll show you a few of the extras I got. iHerb isn’t just limited to beauty and skincare products. They have a huge selection for guys too! The men in my family are notoriously hard to shop for, so I’ll definitely keep iHerb in mind for the holidays! In the meantime I bought my brother this iHerb Goods, Blender Bottle with Blender Ball.
At first glance this looks like a pain water bottle but it’s actually a great multi tasker! It can be used as a regular water bottle or a blender bottle (thanks to a little hidden wisk) It’s perfect for mixing nutrition drinks. This Blender Bottle can also be used to make salad dressings, marinades and omelets. My brother loves to cook so this is the perfect little gift!
All products are available at iHerb (free shipping on orders of $20 or more!)
In the “before” pic I started off with tinted moisturizer, eyeliner and mascara. This whole look took under 10 minutes!
This Pixi Beauty, 2-In-1 Natural Brow Duo Pencil & Gel (Natural Brown) has a really clever design. On one end in a tinted brow gel and on the other is an angled pencil. I have such a hard time finding brow pencils that match my coloring so I was amazed by how natural this looked. Bonus? It’s waterproof!
I apply the pencil using short strokes. Then, I use the brow gel to hold the hairs in place.
I’m totally smitten with this Pacifica Solar Complete Mineral Palette! It contains several eyeshadow shades as well as blush and bronzer and cream highlighters. The eyeshadows are infused with coconut and they have a wonderful, silky feel. The colors are also all wearable which I can’t say for many of the other palettes I own.
This Pacifica Palette is Vegan, Cruelty-free, made in the USA and a portion of the proceeds support clean water.
I applied the “Treasure” shade (dark taupe) to the crease and blended it downward. These eyeshadows have great pigment so it’s easy to layer them to get the intensity you desire.
Next I applied “Neptune” the eyeshadow brush. This is a great, gold shade with subtle highlights.
I applied “Neptune” to the middle of my lid.
This Pixie Beauty Book of Beauty Contour Creator is a great affordable contour palette. I prefer to use powder rather than cream to contour in the warmer months. It wears better
through the day and makes my skin less oily. This palette had a range of shades that even worked on a pale girl like me! I applied the middle contour shade on the bottom to my jawbone.
Next, I combined the two lightest shades and applied them to my browbone and the inside corners of my eyes. Goodbye dark circles! I was impressed with the coverage this contour palette provided and hours later, the powder was still perfectly in place.
I used the same dark contour shade on the sides of my nose and added a highlight down the bridge.
Next, I switched back to the Pacifica Solar Complete Mineral Palette and applied the “Flushed” blush using a big brush.
Finally, I finished off the look with Colorganics, Inc. Hemp Organics Lip Gloss in Calm. This shade looks pretty intense in the tube, but it goes on slightly sheer with a terra cotta tint. It’s really natural and perfect for the daytime. Also, the formula isn’t too shiny and it’s not sticky or heavy.
I really loved these natural products and I’m definitely going to incorporate them into my everyday routine. I’m looking forward to experimenting with some different looks!
