Eyelash Growth Serum DIY

My eyelashes have always tended to be on the wimpy side. I use to get extensions but they left me with broken, stubby lashes that tooks weeks to grow back. The prescription eyelash serums worked very well, but one brand left me dry eyes and the other stained my eyelids really dark. I decided to go the natural route and make this Eyelash Growth Serum DIY.

The main ingredient in this serum is castor oil. Castor oil has been used for years as a natural remedy to treat hair loss. It also has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. Castor oil is high in Vitamin E, minerals, proteins, and Omega 6 and 9 beneficial fatty acids. Castor oil is unusually high in ricinoleic acid which stimulates hair growth.

This natural eyelash growth serum only takes a few minutes to make. I highly recommend buying the mascara tubes I linked to. They are really good quality and they come with a funnel for easy pouring. The ingredients costs around $15 and you could seriously make dozens of these tubes with the amount you get. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I can already see a difference!

Castor oil
Aloe vera softgels
Vitamin E
Empty mascara tube with funnel

Squeeze 2 aloe softgels into the mix and stir.

Insert the funnel into the tube. Slowly pour the mixture in. Tube should only be 3/4 full when you are finished. If you fill it up more than this it will overflow when you push the wand in.

Push the rubber insert on to the tube. This wipes against the brush as you pull it out, ensuring that your wand isn’t overflowing.
