Galaxy Slime DIY- a fun afternoon activity for kids!
We’re definitely not afraid to get our hands dirty around here! Now that the weather’s warmed up, Indigo and I have been gardening, collecting shells at the beach and enjoying many afternoon craft projects. Whether it’s work or play, our hands are always in motion
and they deserve to be treated right. I teamed up with Softsoap® Hand Wash Plus Lotion™ liquid hand soap to have some fun with this Galaxy Slime DIY!
It’s important to protect our hands so this Galaxy Slime recipe is free of Borax and other harsh chemicals. It’s the perfect, stretchy consistency and the colors are awesome! The glitter gives it a magical, night sky appearance. The glitter glue also takes the place of food coloring so there’s no staining (yay!!!).
Indigo and I wash our hands any times during the day, so it’s important to use a soap that is gentle. Softsoap® Hand Wash Plus Lotion™ liquid hand soap locks in moisture. It has a silky feel and luxurious scents like Aloe Water & Lime, Orchid & Coconut Milk and Shea & Cocoa Butter.
Galaxy Slime DIY
Supplies needed:
4 oz Glitter school glue
1/2 Tablespoon Baking soda
1 Tablespoons Contact lens solution
Container or bowl
Old spoon (that you no longer use for food)
(This makes 1 small ball of slime. I made 2)
Pour all of the glue into the container
Add the baking soda and stir
Add the contact lens solution. Scoop the slime out of the bowl and start molding it with your hands. If it feels too sticky, add another spoonful of contact lens solution.
Great news moms- The glitter stays attached to the slime and doesn’t shed =)
It’s been awhile since I played with slime. I forgot how fun it is!
After playing, we head over to the sink to wash our hands with Softsoap® Hand Wash Plus Lotion™ liquid hand soap. I love that it has a touch of lotion to make my hands feel soft and smooth. Multi tasking products always get a thumbs up in my book!
