Fast & Easy Stroller Blanket Knitting Pattern
] |
I love taking Indigo on walks but I worry about him getting cold in the winter. The baby blankets and throws I have are all too big. I wanted an easy stroller blanket knitting pattern that was small enough to not get caught in the wheels or drag on the ground. I also wanted it to be very warm. I had this jumbo yarn that I knew would be perfect. This yarn is heavy but still very soft and unlike some Jumbo yarn it doesn’t split while you’re knitting.
When knitting Jumbo yarn, it’s best to keep the design basic, so I went with a Stockinette Stitch. Normally pieces knit with a Stockinette Stitch curl up at the sides, but since this yarn was so heavy it didn’t happen. This knitting pattern is really simple and it can be completed in under an hour. I’ve got to admit, there’s something really satisfying about finishing an entire knitting project during one nap time! I’m happy with the way this Stroller Blanket Knitting Pattern turned out and it keep Indigo nice and toasty on our walks!
Yarn: Loops & Threads Chunky Grande in Cream (2 skeins)
Needles: Size US 35 single point
Free Knitting Pattern
Cast on 12 stitches. Work in Stockinette Stitch until pieces measures 23 inches. Bind off and weave in ends
(Note- when you add the new skein of yarn do so at the end of the row, not in the middle. It’s easier and less obvious to weave the ends of the yarn in at the start of a row)
