DIY Wrapped Turquoise Bracelet
The inspiration for this beaded, wrapped DIY bracelet comes from Tory Burch. I loved the original, but not the high price tag, so I decided to DIY my own version!
Turquoise and leather are a classic combo and the large button closure really makes this a stand-out piece. This DIY bracelet is the perfect combination of bohemian and glam! The design would look great on its own or stacked with other bracelets. Best of all, it’s really easy to make. Read below to find out how!

Supplies needed
- Leather cord (approximately 20 inches)
- Turquoise beads
- Bead stringing wire
- Leather (or tapestry) needle– it needs to have a large eye
- Large button (with shank)
Instructions:
Step 1: (to find the length of cord you need to fit your wrist) Fold the leather cord in half and make a knot at the end. Make sure your button can pass through the hole. It’s okay if the fit is a little tight. The leather will stretch over time.
Step 2: Pull it around your wrist and make a double knot on the other end. When put around your wrist, the knots on either end should be about 1/2 away from touching. Don’t trim the excess cord because it will be used to tie on the button.
Step 3: Knot the button on to end of the leather cord. Then wrap the bead stringing wire around the end and make a double knot.
Step 4: Thread the wire through the needle and begin stringing on the beads.
Step 5: As you are stringing on the beads, begin wrapping the wire around the leather cord. Work in sections to prevent the wire from getting tangled. Don’t wrap it too tight or your bracelet won’t be able to bend around your wrist. The beads should be loose enough, so that you can move them around with your fingers.
Step 6: Keep beading and wrapping until you reach the end of the cord (before the knot). Insert the needle under the knot to tie off the wire.
Step 7: Insert the needle back and forth through the knot a few times to make sure it is secure. Knot it a few times and cut the end of the wire. Wear & enjoy!
I love the colour combination and anything leather!
Great job!
