DIY Kimono Top [no pattern needed!]

May 7, 2015

Kimono tops are really easy and fast to make and best of all they don’t require a pattern! The fabric is hemmed, folded in half lengthwise and then a couple stitches are added for arm holes.
1 yard Rayon fabric 56 inches wide (similar)
Sewing machine

[The first step is to hem the edges. Using an iron, press down the all the edges 1/4 inch]
[Fold the edges over again and press down]
[Stitch the hem down all around the rectangle]
[To create the arm holes- fold in half lengthwise. Stitch together at the top corner to join the 2 halves together. Measure in 22 inches and make another stitch (“x” indicates where the stitches should be). Repeat on the other side]

I love this idea, and it looks so simple to do. Im going to have to try it. Would be a good swimsuit cover up.
    Thank you.
