diy painted bead necklace

April 3, 2014
This DIY necklace is a great way to try out Spring’s hottest trend- pastels!

  • Wooden beads (small and large sizes)
  • Acrylic paint & paintbrush
  • Leather cord
[Cut pieces of thin cardboard into strips. Use these to prop up the beads when you paint. Paint the beads white first. This will make the colors pop]
[Paint the beads different colors and let dry]
[Here’s the first batch of beads. I gave them  coats of paints to make the color vibrant]
[String the beads on the leather cord- the necklace should measure 30 inches]
[To finish the necklace off make a double knot and knot on beads at the end]
