diy tassel drop earrings

November 23, 2013

I love long earrings. I think they’re a great finishing touch to evening looks. These tassel earrings are fast & easy to make using embroidery floss and basic jewelry making supplies.

  • Earring hooks
  • 2 Jump rings
  • Large beads
  • Pliers
  • Yellow embroidery floss (1 skein)
  • Bead caps (I bought mine on Etsy)
  • Eye pins (available at craft stores)
[Cut the entire skein of floss into 9 inch long strands. Divide into 2 equal groups]
[String the floss through the jump ring. Fold over and tie together at the top of the tassel with an extra piece of floss. Cuts the ends of the floss to make them even]
[Using pliers, open the jump ring and attach it to the eye pin. Use the pliers to squeeze the jump ring closed]
[String the tassel through the bead cap and the bead]
[Using the pliers twist the wire around the earring hook to attach]
