cinched ponytail tutorial

July 25, 2013

If you’re tired of the basic ponytail, here’s a great, easy way to take it up a notch! All you need is a large elastic and some smaller ones (like these). For a frizz-free ponytail, coat your hair with some product first.

[1. Put your hair in a high, tight ponytail. Take 2 small sections from underneath. 2. Criss cross the 2 section over the top of the elastic and bring them underneath the ponytail]
[3. Secure the ends that you just brought underneath with an elastic. 4. Create another 2 sections using the hair tied off with the elastic. Criss cross over the front and secure underneath the ponytail with an elastic (like in pic 3)
[5&6. Keeping repeating the process until desired length. If the strands you are using become too thin (this will most likely happened with layered hair) you can add to them using the hair underneath the ponytail]

Awesome! I love styles done with extra-long hair. I try some mid-length tutorials, and I'm like, "And what do I do with the remaining three inches of braid?"

Thank you so much! I can never find a new hairstyle for my waist-length hair. This one is gorgeous!
