diy free people fringe tee

May 2, 2013

This Free People’s Fringe Tee can be easily replicated using 2 mens undershirts, a leather punch and a crochet hook. No sewing required!

[Cut the bottom hem off the 2nd t-shirt. Cut a 3/4″ strip off the bottom and cut at the side seams, creating 2 strips. Repeat until the body of the shirt is cut up]
[Gather the fabric on either side of the seam. Press down on the leather punch to create 2 holes]
[Thread a crochet hook through the holes and hook on to the fringe strip. Pull through]
[String the ends of the fringe through the loop and pull through to tighten]
[Space the fringe about 3/4″ apart]
[Repeat until you’ve gone around the whole arm seam, then do the other sleeve]

That came out so well! Looks amazing. The whiteness of it makes me wanna paint something on the front. Just as a cliche, maybe a dreamcatcher… 🙂
