I was inspired to create this DIY after seeing this reversible Etro Belt. The design is really simple- 2 contrasting leather pieces are sewn together, then turned right side out. The leather I used is from thrifted skirts. This is an easy sewing project, great for those who are new to sewing leather.
(Tip: make sure you use a zipper foot designed to sew leather- they are plastic, not metal. It makes things much easier!!!)
[Cut out 2 strips of leather that at 41 inches long and 3 1/2″ high. If you do not have one continuous piece, sew a few sections together to create the length. Cut the ends in a rounded shape]
[With the right sides together, sew the pieces to each other. Leave a 5-6 inch opening so you can turn the belt right side out]
[Sew the opening closed by hand]
