diy suede infinity scarf

January 17, 2013

I usually made dresses or handbags with the leather I find at thrift stores, but this time I wanted to try something different. Recently I found a buttery soft suede skirt. The soft texture and drape made it the perfect material for an infinity scarf.
This DIY requires some basic sewing skills, but overall it’s pretty easy to make.

  • Suede
  • Fabric for the lining- I used sweatshirt fleece, but you could also use regular cotton

[Using a ruler, cut 2 pieces of suede that are 20″ long on the bottom and 15″ long on the top. The height is 14″]
[Cut 2 matching pieces out of the lining fabric]
[Place right sides the suede together and sew the side seams closed. Do the same with the lining fabric]
[Place the wrong sides of the suede and lining together and sew around the bottom]
[Do the same with the top. You will need to leave a small opening to turn the scarf right side out. Hand sew it closed]
