black swan

October 31, 2011

As soon as I saw “Black Swan” I knew I had found my Halloween costume! The bodice was sewn by hand. I started off with a strapless bra and added layers of silk, tulle and lace. I finished it off with the feathers at the top. The tutu was made from 12 yards of tulle that I layered and gathered. After I was finished I attached some sequins to catch the light. Lastly, I made the crown by sewing together layers of lace, interfacing and cotton.

Happy Halloween everyone!
